In Hannover there are 24 museums. Here are 5 of them:
The Historic Museum describes the history of Hannover, from the mid-age settlement "honovere", over the Residence Town, to the world famous Exhibition Town. The museum focusses on the time from 1714 to 1834 when Hanover had a strong relationship to the British royal house.
The Kestner Museum is located in the House of 5.000 windows. The museum is named after August Kestner and exhibits 6,000 years of applied art. With more than 4.000 members the Kestnergesellschaft belongs to the largest art society in Germany. The museum shows exhibitions from the classical modernist art to the contemporary art. One big focus is put on film, video, contemporary music and architecture, room installments and big presentations of contemporary paintings, sculptures and video art.
The Sprengel Museum shows the art of the 20th century. It is one of the most notable art museums in Germany.
The Theatre Museum shows an exhibition of the history of the theatre in Hannover from the 17th century up to now: Opera, concert, drama and ballet. The museum also hosts several touring exhibitions during the year.
The Wilhelm-Busch-Museum is the German museum for caricature and critical graphics. The collection of the works of Wilhelm Busch and the extensive collection of caricatures and critical graphics is unique in Germany. Furthermore the museum hosts several exhibitions of national and international artists during the year.
Swimming pool in Porta Westfalica

Both in winter and in summer you can go schwiming and relax.
Enjoy the outdoor pool in summer with the big Chute, the Experience Basin with the Swirl and the beach-volleyball field. You can keep fit in the 25-metre pool with 5 lanes.
There are also diving boards (1 and 3 m) and a 100-metre long chute Fun and Action. You can also eat or drink something in the café.

Minden is a little city but famous. WHY? WHAT FOR?

Minden is very old and there a lot of old sights in Minden. You can say that it’s a tourism centre.

Very interesting in the city is the night watchwoman. In former times a night watchwoman went through the streets and was in attention for the people who sleep. Today you can do a tour with the night watchwoman through the streets of Minden in the evening. She goes through the streets of Minden every night and shows the people her work places.


The Fischerstadt

Minden is a very old city. One part of Minden`s Old Town is the Fischerstadt. There is a great wall along the Weser. It`s over 800 years old, you should see it because it`s very famous. You can go through the streets and see the old buildings.




Many people are interested in The Glacis of Minden, it’s an old treewall around Minden`s Old Town.

Porta Westfalica

Kaiser – Wilhelm – Monument
The Kaiser – Wilhelm – Monument is in Porta Westfalica on Wittekindsberg. The Mountain above Barkhausen in 210 m height.
You have a good view of the city Porta Westfalica from large distances. The monument was built from 1892 to 1996. The Monument shows Kaiser Wilhelm in uniform with high boots. Over the shoulders Monument has a coronation coat. Wilhelm I. raises the right hand, the left hand with a sword he points to the ground. The fixed image was poured out of bronze. Its height amounts to approximately seven meters. Approximately 13,000 m3 brick-works were implemented and 3,000 meters of stairway steps were shifted. You can visit the Kaiser – Wilhelm – Monument any time of day or night.

Hannover Zoo

you can drive into the Sambezi part of the zoo with a boat and you can see giraffes, rhinoceros, turtles and exotic birds.
There are elephant shows several time a day. Two baby elephants were born here in 2003 and the other babies were born in 2005. There are many restaurants from differed countries for example African food, German food etc. For the little children they have many carousels and playgrounds. I want to say you must visit this zoo because it is so beautiful.

The Prussia museum

The Prussia museum

The Prussia museum is in Minden, a small town in Germany. In the Prussia museum you can learn all about the state Prussia.
In 1680 Prussia was in the east of Germany and in 1795 Poland was completely taken over by Prussia.
In 1815 Prussia did not take such a big part of Poland. But the German part of Prussia had grown.
In the year 1900 Prussia was very big. It made up one half of Germany.
A part of Prussia is in Poland now.

The Musikbox Minden is a small disco that opens 3 nights a week.
Every night has a different theme, like House, Gothic or so.



Our school throws a schoolparty on 13 May 2008 in the Musikbox Minden.

Gothe-Freilichtbühne Porta Westfalia

El Goethe-Freilichtbühne Porta Westfalica, es un escenario de teatro de aficionados en el distrito de la Barkhausen (Porta Westfalica) en la ciudad de Rein del Norte-Westfalia. Historia El escenario al aire libre se Porta en 1927 por el doctor Hollo. Durante el Tercer hepoca, fue en la línea y el Ministerio de Propaganda. También hubo actos de los nazis.
Con el restablecimiento de la etapa después de la guerra, en 1954, trató de la independencia de la titularidad de una asociación registrada. Esto tiene ahora más de 1000 miembros. Hoy Hoy, en el escenario principal en la antigua cantera de Barkhausen jugado, pero también en otros lugares de la región. El repertorio incluye, además de la pieza principal de'70s desde siempre una de juegos para niños.
Stadthagen/ Bückeburg

Stadthagen is the capital of the district of Schaumburg, in Lower Saxony, Germany. It is situated approx. 20 km east of Minden and 40 km west of Hannover. The population is about 23,206 habitants.


Schloss Bückeburg

The „Schloss Bückeburg“ is a castle where the Rule of Schaumburg-Lippe lives. It was built in 1304 by the instructor Earl Adolf VI. of Schaumburg and Holstein – Frisia. Since 1925 visitors have been able to visit different rooms of the castle. Sometimes there are also different festivals like “Landpartie” or “Weihnachtszauber” which is a Christmas festival. Around the castle is a park which is 40 hectare wide. In this park there are different kinds of woods like the 25-meter- high Giant Tree.


Go-Kart

Kart racing or karting is a variant of open-wheeler motor sport with simple, small four-wheeled vehicles called karts, go-karts, or gearbox/shifter karts depending on the design. They are usually raced on scaled-down circuits. Karting is commonly perceived as the stepping stone to the higher and more expensive ranks of motorsports.
Karts vary in speed and some (known as Superkarts) can reach speeds exceeding 160 mph (250 km/h).

The prices are: 7,50€ for 10 minutes, 19,50€ for 30 minutes and 30,00 € for 50 minutes.
The opening hours are: Monday-Friday from 4 pm to 10 pm, Saturday from 2 pm to 11 pm and Sunday from 2 pm to 9 pm.

The GOP is a Varite Theatre in Bad Oeynhausen. At this time there were some different shows for example acrobatics, magic and comedy of the highest artistic level.




Bali- Therme

The second sight in Bad Oeynhausen is an indoor- swimming- pool which is called Bali- Therme. The openings are from Monday eight a clock till Friday evening at twenty three a clock. On Saturday it is open till twenty four a clock in the evening.
Two hours in the Therme cost for adults 8,50 € and for children 5,00 €.

It is a parc where you can go for a walk with your dog or something like else.You can visited the bathhouse and can watch different sightseeing

Around 40 theatres are located in Hanover. The Opera House, the Schauspielhaus (Play House), the Ballhofeins, the Ballhofzwei and the Cumbarlandsche Galerie belong to the Lower Saxony State Theatre.
The Long Night of the Theatres is the oldest event of its kind in Germany.

Hannover/Langenhagen International Airport

Hannover Airport was opened in 1952 on an old airfield. In 1973 two modern terminals were opened. In 1998 the larger terminal C was opened to handle more passengers, adding 8 more gates. All three terminals are capable of taking a Boeing 747.
In
2000 an S-Bahn connection was established between the airport and Hameln (Hamelin) via Hannover Central Station. Trains leave every 30 minutes for a 17-minute journey. In 2005 it was decided to establish a second S-Bahn connection. The Airport is connected to the A2 and A7.

From
1957 to 1990 the airport hosted the “Internationale Luft- und Raumfahrtausstellung” (International Aerospace Exhibition ILA), Germany's largest airshow.
Since the end of
the Cold War Hannover International has become Germany's major airport for services to countries of the former Eastern bloc next to Frankfurt International.

5200 people work for the Airport. Every year 8 mio. people board a plane .
In the terminals there are 20 shops (seven duty-free shops), 16 restaurants and 35 tour operators; also there are a shoppingcenter and 2 hotels.

Hannover International is one of the very few German airports which are open 24 hours a day, but in practice there are very few flights between 11pm and 4am.
Werrepark:

Werrepark is a big mall. In Werrepark you can buy everything: clothes, shoes, jewels and much more! You can have so much fun at it! After the shopping tour you can go to the cinema. There are so many interesting films, for example: - I´m Legend - Kein Ohr Hasen - P.S. I love You - Bee movie ... Prices are from 5 € to 8 €.
The Werrepark is open: Mon – Wed and Fr – Sat 10 am – 8 pm and Thur 10 am – 10 pm.

Potts Park is a family friendly amusement park in Minden in District Dützen. Potts Park was founded in 1969 by Karl-Heinrich Pott. More than 200,000 visitors visit Potts Park every year. The special attractions in the park are the giant house, the pott- whale, and the carpet slide.

Go out in Hannover

Go out in Hannover:

If you are in Hannover you can go to discos for example “Discothek Agostea”, or another big disco is “Disco Euro”, where you can hear black music or hip hop and they offer longdrinks for 1€.
Hannover has also a lot of cocktail bars for example “Bolero” or “Escenario”.
Hannover has a big cinema “Cinemaxx”- there you can learn German :) .
Hannover at night is worth seeing, too and for free.

los nuevos como tamvien los ancianos.
PWI esta abierta dodos los viernes y savador.
Los domingos no, pero si el lunes es una fiesta estara habierta tambien

como una ves en el mes hay patys sola mente par alas personas mas de 30 años.(über 30 party)
la discoteca esta cada fin de semana llena.
para entrar se pagar 6 €

PWI tiene 3 havitaciones una pitzeria y un café
tiene una teraza y hay tamvien hay un café
